Xiaomi Mi 11T 5G Design and build
The Xiaomi Mi 11T 5G features the exact same appearance as the Pro version. It’s difficult to tell them apart. However, there are a few feature variations on the inside. A two-step camera bump and a highly reflecting curved glass rear panel are two features of the stylish design. A closer glance reveals its faint, metallic-appearing texture. A matte finish is applied to the curved aluminum frame. Additionally, you receive protection from water and dust here, which is something many other mid-rangers do not offer. This verifies that the 11T has an IP53 grade for dust and splash protection.
Cameras
Both the 11T Pro and 11T 5G models of the Xiaomi Mi smartphone share the same set of cameras. However, the various chipsets have produced varying processing and performance. A 108 MP, f/1.8, 26mm (wide), 1/1.52′′, 0.7m, PDAF main camera, an 8 MP, f/2.2, 120 (ultrawide), 1/4′′, 1.12m, and a 5 MP, f/2.4, 50mm (telephoto macro), 1/5.0′′, 1.12m, AF camera are the three cameras on the rear. The main camera’s 12-megapixel photos are excellent. Rich in organic detail, they are. The main camera produces good portraits with good subject separation. The absence of HDR, though, could cause more difficult scenes to appear blown out.
The ultra-wide camera actually performs very well for this kind of camera. Its 8-megapixel photographs have excellent dynamic range, are clear and detailed, and have minimal noise. The macro camera’s 5-megapixel close-ups are quite impressive. The 16-megapixel front-facing camera’s selfies are at best pretty adequate. Using the main camera, you can record videos with up to 4k resolution and 30 frames per second. This video is quite good. At the flagship level, there is a ton of detail with natural rendition and dynamic ranges. In 1080p, the ultrawide camera records. For this resolution, the details are adequate. A good dynamic range is also present. On the main camera, electronic stabilization is available even in 4K. It does an excellent job at ironing out handheld shakes.
Display
Then, let’s examine its presentation. The 6.67-inch AMOLED display on the Xiaomi Mi 11T 5G offers a quick 120 Hz refresh rate and Gorilla Glass Victus protection. Yes, Gorilla Glass Victus, you read that correctly. Anyway, swiping and scrolling are quite fluid because of the high refresh rate. The screen’s high 480 Hertz touch sampling rate also makes it exceptionally responsive. Certain programs, including YouTube, will cause the screen’s refresh rate to change. Particularly for a mid-ranger, its display is pretty luxurious. Support for 10-bit colors is provided (1B colors). Speaking of settings, there are numerous options for adjusting colors, and they are correct. Support for HDR 10 Plus is also available here. Would have been nice if you did get Dolby vision here like on the Pro model.
Platform & performance
Be aware that the storage options you receive are limited to 128 or 256 GB and cannot be expanded. The Xiaomi Mi 11T 5G’s interface is the most recent MIUI 12.5 built on top of Android 11. The interface is fundamentally the same as what we’ve come to expect from Xiaomi in terms of features and layout. Xiaomi also promises four significant security updates and three significant Android updates. It differs from the Pro edition thanks to its MediaTek MT6893 Dimensity 1200 5G (6 nm) chipset. It offers 5G connectivity as well as the performance at the upper midrange level. It outperforms devices using Qualcomm Snapdragon 700 series chips. Here, there is more than enough power for both reliable daily performance and gaming.
Battery with fast charge
Now, both the Pro edition and the Xiaomi Mi 11T 5G have non-removable Li-Po batteries with a capacity of 5000 mAh. However, this model’s battery life is marginally greater, scoring 98 hours in exclusive tests conducted by GSM Arena. The 11T supports 67-watt fast charging, and the adapter is included in the box, therefore the charging speed is entirely different. It charges the phone extremely quickly, taking it from 0% to 86% in about 30 minutes. Which, prepare yourself, is still considerably slower than the 120 watts of charging that the Pro model provides.
More features
You don’t get audio that bears the Harman Kardon trademark, which is another distinction. However, this stereo speaker configuration appears to be the same. However, this phone does not include a conventional headphone jack. The Xiaomi Mi 11T 5G sports a side-mounted fingerprint reader for biometrics that also serves as the power button. As anticipated, it is quick and dependable.
Our take
The Xiaomi Mi 11T 5G has some impressively high-end specs for a mid-range phone. The 11T Pro version, which includes a more advanced chipset and even faster charging, is available at a higher price. But this one is just the best price, in our opinion. With a potent processor, 120 Hertz AMOLED, dual speakers, competitive cameras, and rapid charging, the Xiaomi 11T 5G is a flagship killer in every way. Even water resistance is available. This phone is a fantastic smartphone with a lot of value, and it is absolutely worth recommending.
